What is Uprima

Uprima is a substance that contains Apomorphine, and is used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. It works by enhancing the nerve signals that cause an erection. An erection is produced via a complex chain of events. The process is started with sexual stimulation from sight, smell, sound or touch. This causes nerve signals to be sent from the brain to the penis, which in turn cause the blood vessels in the penis to relax and widen. This allows the penis to fill with blood and makes it become erect. It does this by mimicking the action of dopamine, which is a natural chemical called a neurotransmitter.

Uprima mimics the erection-producing effect of dopamine by stimulating the same dopamine receptors. Because these receptors are stimulated, this enhances the effect of natural dopamine that is produced as a result of sexual stimulation. The nerve signals to the penis are enhanced, and this results in blood entering the penis, ultimately causing it to become rigid and erect.

Uprima will only work if sexual stimulation occurs; simply taking the medication on its own will not produce an erection. Uprima does not increase sex drive and in no way is it an aphrodisiac. When taken, Uprima dissolves under the tongue where it quickly enters the bloodstream. If a man is sexually stimulated, he can expect an erection in about 20 minutes. Because Uprima is taken sublingually, that is under the tongue, it enters the bloodstream quickly, bypassing the gastro-intestinal tract and it works in a similar way to men who have normal erections. This method of medication for erectile dysfunction also helps men who may have difficulty swallowing tablets.

No treatments for impotence should be taken with in conjunction with other medicines, unless specifically agreed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure in any way, or in doubt about your medication, advice is available on-line, through Gotoed.
